'f An interesting announcement, outlining the total British ■ casualties up to last week, has been made by Mr Asquith in I the House of Commons. J ! Austrian vessels of war have bombarded several places on the Italian coast, but the damage done was slight. A Russian dispatch, published in America, states that the : German armies menacing Warsaw are threatened with disaster. German submarines have been extremely active in the ; North Sea. Several small ships have been destroyed, some : of them having been burned. I Stress is laid on the importance of the Italians'recent victory in the battle of Carso. •!■• British submarines have again scored success in the Sea / of Marmora. ~ J -
