A LOAN REPORTED. MINISTER DENIES KNOWLEDGE. By Cable. — Press Association. — Copyrii/ht. LONDON, April 20. The "Daily Mail" says that despite emphatic oflicial denials, JMew Zealand is issuing a loan of £300,000 at 4 per cent., repayable in 1929, ami that it will not be issued under 97.
A MINISTERIAL DISCLAIMER. Press A.»aocialion. WELLINGTON, April 27. , "I have no knowledge of si £:J00,000 loan being floated on the London market," declared the Hon. Jas. Allen-to-day when questioned on the subject of the London Press cablegram.
A later Press Association message from London states that there is to be no public, issuo of New Zealand stock, the transaction being purely private.
