FRESHENING BLACK MATERIAL.
In freshening up black materialswoollen goods and crepe de chine, especially—there is nothing better than alcohol. Naphtha or gasoline often leaves rings round the parts cleaned, but alcohol does not. A good rubbing over with a cloth soaked in alcohol, and a pressing after the fabric has dried, will make a black woollen or crepe de chine dress look like new.
