The Rev. Malcolm 1\ Gaze, pastor of the Chertsey Congregational Church, has resigned in order that lie may be free to enlist as a private in Kitchener's army. YVheu announcing his decision at the close of a service lie remarked'that he felt that the country needed every available man, and that his place in the Church could easily be filled by an older minister—one past the age for active service.
