CRICKET.
THE CANIJRIPY ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Managing Committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association was held last evening. Present:— Messrs A. Cant (chairman), T. W. Eeese, R. B. Ward, W. H. Winsor, W. King, W. Simpson, and E.R. Caygill. Alterations of the rules, necessitated by the admission of the Kaiapoi Club, were drafted, for submission to a general meeting of delegates. The, Kaiapoi Club's boundary was {fixed at /seven miles from the Kaiapoi post office, excluding any area allotted to Christojiurch clubs.
The arrangement of extra wickets was delegated to the Competitions Committee.
It • was decided to advertise for applications for the position of secretary to the association.
Further correspondence was received regarding iriterprovincial matches in the coming season. After much discussion the committee decided to endeavour to arrange the Canterbury-Qtago match for December 25, 26, and 28, and the Canterbury-Auckland match, to be played in Auckland, on January 1, 2, and 4. The Hawke's Bay Association will be offered a match on certain conditions. For the Wellington-Canter-bury match the Wellington Association had suggested January .22, 23, and 25, but these dates did not' meet with the committee's approval, and the matter of the Wellington match was deferred.
