THE SHARE MARKET. Business still continues quiet on the various exchanges throughout the Dominion, and practically the only stocks I which are being dealt in at the present time are mining stocks. ! Investment stocks are moving slowly, 'the only sales recorded during the past week being National Banks, London [Register, £4 10/-; Wellington Gas, £ls 7/6; Auckland Gas, 25/-; Manning's Brewery, £4; Ward's Brewery, £5; N.Z. Insurance, £5 5/- and £5 6/-; and Taupiri Coals, 20/3. Buyers of investment sto&ks are scarce, although there are some firstclass stocks available at prices that return a good rate on the funds invested. Mining Stocks. —Waihis have improved a little on last week's prices, there being several sales reported at prices ranging from 30/6 to 31/9, the latest quotations being buyers 31/3, sellers 31/9. Talismans have found buyers at prices ranging from 27/6 in the early part of the week, to 28/6 at the close, the latest quotes being buyers 28/-, sellers 28/6. Waihi Grand Junction changed hands at prices ranging from 21/- to. 21/9, the closing quotes being buyers 21/9, sellers 22/-. * TO-DAY'S MARKETS. There was a good entry in the poultry saleyards to-day, and prices were remarkably high. Table chickens 5/3 to 8/10, unfinished birds 3/6 to 5/-, ducks 6/- to 8/9, pullets 6/- to 8/3, hens 2/6 to 6/8, turkey gobblers 22/- to 37/-, turkey hens 6/- to 11/-, all per pair. JSText.
