"MADE IN GERMANY."

To the Editor of THE SUN. Sir, —Now that the Empire is at war with Germany our duty and loyalty to our country demands that we should abstain in- ever}* possible'way from giving any support, direct or indirect, to our enemy. It should only be necessary to remind your readers that a very large number of items of ordinary everyday use are of German manufacture in order to ensure that they will avoid and shun them . as. they would the plague. Not only can we inflict loss on an enemy in this way, but we can help our fellow countrymen who are out of employment, and in distress at Home by using articles of British manufacture , instead.

The Colonial Office, vide- Press of recent date, has drawn attention to this in the arfnonneement of ita intention to hblfl.an exhibition of'goods of colonial requirements afc a» early date, so that British manufacturer* can fill the orders previously sent to Germany,.thereby indicating the boom we maf' expeet in trade and commerce after the war is over, and the commercial...fleet of Germany swept from the seas.—l am, etc., NO PESSIMISM.
