SLUMBER SUITS.
Light dresses of . crepe, de chine and silk are.gradually finding favour, and cotton crepe is liked-.because it is capable of being laundered easily. This new night wear is made in the simplest fashion, merely having a frill of lai'e or a small piece of hand embroidery to decorate it. Though white continues to prevail, there are some night gowns made of pretty printed soft silks, ami these also wash well, and pink is fashionable again. Slumber, suits or pyjamas have ma.de their way into popularity, especially for the traveller, and the pret' tiest garments of this kind are seen in light coloured striped silks trimmed with cords and. frogs, and also in summer batistes.
