CHANGES OF OFFICERS. Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 13. In pursuance of the recommendation of General Sir lan Hamilton, InspectorGeneral of the Overseas Forces, that a considerable number of alterations should be made upon l.he Defence staff, his Excellency the Governor has approved of the following appointments, .which will be gazetted : this week: — Honorary Major James O'Sullivan from Director of Equipment and Stores to be Honorary Assistant Quarter-master-General at headquarters, and to bo attached to the New Zealand Staff Corps while so employed.

Captain F. B. Mabin (retired list), from Director of Accounts to be Hon. orary Assistant Quartermaster-General at headquarters, with the honorary rank of major, and to be attached to the New Zealand Staff Corps while so employed.

Major H. H. Broune, N.Z.S.C., from assistant quartermaster-general at headquarters, to command an area group, vice Captain J. E. Barton, N.Z.S.C,' Major Broune will go' to Paeroa.

Captain H. C. Nutsford, N.Z.S.C., to be an assistant adjutant and quartermaster;general, vice Captain R. S. Matthews, N.Z.S.C. Captain Nutsford has been instructor in mounted duties in the Auckland district, and will now be employed at district headquarters, Auckland.
