A BRILLIANT '' MATCHLESS " WIN. A well-known Manawatu rider, Mr 11. Collinson, strictly an amateur, competing in the Manawatu M.C.C. Easter Trial for the New* Hudson Cup, scored a well merited victory by winning for the second year iu succession, and makes the trophy his own property. He rode, failing delivery .of a more suitable mount, an old Tourist Trophy Twin Matchless, and incidentally did 143 miles per gallon of petrol (official measurement). This iinished off all his rivals. After all there was no need to ride a new machine.
