EMPTY SHIP ABLAZE.
BOATS AND CREW MISSING. A MYSTERIOUS TRAGEDY. By Cable. — Press Association. — Copyright. HALIFAX (Nova Scotia), May 4. A ; steamer, unidentified, is reported by the steamer Seydlitz to be on fire 300 miles south of Cape Race. The Seydlitz was unable to identify the steamer owing: to the thick smoke surrounding her. No .sign of life was discoverable. The Seydlitz called other liners by wireless, and the Sachem, Branderburg, Olympic, and Franeonia responded. No trace of the ship's boats could be found. The fate of the crew is a mystery.
