Bill .provided foT the maintenance of public safety in times of actual or apprehended danger; empowered the police to arrest, without warrant, persdns suspected of treason or inciting thereto; protected workmen from intimidation, prohibited picketing, penalised a breach of contract involving danger to the*public by persons in public utility services; empowered the Government;'to prohibit and dispose riotous g&th&rings and remove persons convicted of 1 sedition or incitement thereto, unless born in South Africa.]
