LATE SHIPPING.
SHIPPING NOTES. Last night the Federal and Shire liner' Surrey left Lyttelton for. Wanganui in con-tinuation-of her loading operations. '' On Thursday morning the ferry steamer Wahine will be placed in the dry dock for cleaning and painting. She sails "as usual for Wellington the same evening. To-night the Bakanoa leaves Timaru for Wellington to load sheep for- Lyttelton. The Pakeha, due at Auckland to-morrow, has on board 7000 tons of cargo to discharge before coming south. Taking .the usual run of. the Taviuni, the Pukaki will sail from Duneclin next Thursday for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth, and thes West Coast. She is "due at Lyttelton on Saturday. PASSENGERS FOB ENGLAND.
Last 'night the. Shaw, Savill steamer Rangatira, which left Wellington for, London, had on boarfl the following passengers:—Saloon: Misses C. Hein6, M. Pratt,' and H. Wolff, Mrs Dwyer, and Messrs Robt. ' Dwycr, H. Shapley, and J. B. Wolff. They' are all booked from Wellington.

THE WESTRALIA. Press lasocfotion. AUCKLAND, March 31. The steamer Westralia, which has been running on the East Coast trade for the last six months, is to return to Australia and relieve one of the company's other steamers, which is to undergo Lloyd's survey. The Westraliii will return to New Zealand *ia October.
