SOME NEW STAMPS.
DESIGNS APPROVED.

The Hon. A. Wynne has approved the design of the new sixpenny stamp, which is copied from an exhibit sent by Mr Blamire Young. It will be printed in light blue, with a kookaburra (or laughing Jackass) as the central figure. The new halfpenny stamp is to be coloured green, with a black swan in the centre, and the stamp will be dark blue, and of similar design to the new penny issue.
