The Australasian Women's Conference has resolved that all members of the association should refrain from adopting the prevailing fashion of indecorous attire. The delivered a warm condemnation of prevailing fashions. She said it Was dreadful to see, in the trams and trains, women who had lost all sense of decency and modesty. She was surprised that the Government had not taken action, and if the unfortunate class of women wore such costumes the police would arrest them. It was degenerating to respectable women to see others wearing insufficient clothing to cover their bodies. She saw in a window display "tango" underskirts being viewed more by nlen than women.
