SNOWSTORMS IN NEW YORK. TREMENDOUS DAMAGE. "Times" and. "Sydney Sun" Services. NEW YORK, March 3. Chaotic conditions continue in New York and neighbouring States. The damage to property runs into millions of dollars. The streets of the city are packed with ice and snow. Traffic is held up, and some districts are isolated. Prospects of a thaw are regarded with apprehension. There is a likelihood of an epidemic arising owing to garbage lying'in the! streets. ■ '
