FOOTBALL.
There will be further teams in the field this coming football season. New Brighton intends forming a club and entering First and Second Grade teams for the Canterbury Rugby Union competitions. A meeting will be called next week. The secretary of the Rugby Union has also received from the Lyttelton Club an intimation of its intention to enter for the Junior and Fourth Grade competitions.
