! HERNE BAY PARTY FOR BRIDE-TO-BE A most enjoyable •'kitchen’.; afternoon was given on Saturday l>y Airs. Ludlow Brooker, at her home in Herne Bay, in honour of Miss Yj Armstrong, whose wedding takes place this week. Large bowls of spring flowers Were arranged in the hall and drawingroom During the afternoon songs and 5 musical items were given by Miss } Thelma Duffin, and Miss Sylvia Simm - and two amusing competitions were 7 held. Mrs. Brooker received her guests 1 ' in a smart floral crepe de chine frock 7 in tones of beige and royal blue. The guest of honour wore a dainty • frock of electric blue crepe de chine, • hand-embroidered in pastel colours. Those present included: —Mrs. Armstrong. Mrs. Latimer, Mrs. McAneny Mrs. S. Gallaher, Mrs. J. C. Gallaher, i Mrs. J. Gray, Mrs. A. Potter, Miss Yi i Armstrong, Miss Flo. Armstrong, Miss Clare Vohnston, Miss Thelma Duffin, s Miss J. Latimer, Miss A. Leng, Miss ’ Sylvia Simm, Miss L. Smith, Miss M Christie.
