Finn, president of the Auckland Manufacturers’ Association, left for Wellington last evening to attend conference of the New Zealand Manufacturers’ Federation. Major E. Oughton, of the Indian \rmy- who is also a consulting engineer for several London firms, arrived by the Ulimaroa this morning on a business trip to New Zealand, and is staying at the Grand Hotel. The Hon. E. W. Alison. M.L.C.. and Mr W. J- Jordan. Mr. W. I*. Endean, Mr' W. E. F ury. Mr. A. Harris. Mr. TI. M Rushworth, Mr. D. Jones, Mr. J. N. Massey and Mr. A. Hamilton, M.P.’s. left for Wellington last evening. Mr. E. P. Knox, of K.K.O. lectures, arrived in Auckland by the Ulimaroa this morning. He was accompanied bvMr. H. Currie, the root ntly-c.ppointed New Zealand manager to the R.K.O. organisation, and will pay a business visit to Wellington. Mr. Justice Herdman and Mr. Justice Smith reave Auckland at the end of this week to attend the Court of Appeal session, opening in Wellington on September 24.
