BIRKENHEAD BUSES
PROPOSED SERVICE OPPOSED Strenuous opposition to the proposal to grant a licence for a bus service from Highbury Corner. Birkenhead, through Onewa Road and Queen Street, to the Northeote Wharf, is to be made by the Birkenhead Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association. The question was discussed at a special meeting of the association last evening. It was considered that the district was already sufficiently catered for. Air. J. Batty was appointed to represent the association at a meeting of the No. 2 Motor Omnibus Licensing Authority x today, when an application from • the Marine Suburbs Bus Company, Ltd., for authority to establish the proposed service, was to be beard.
