“TUTANKHAMEN”
HIS MAJESTYS THURSDAY WEEK j. As a pyramid-builder and master of tortures, Mr. Dan Flood, the wellknown entertainer, is in his element in the forthcoming revival by the Auckland Amateur Operatic Society of “Tutankhamen.” Since his first appearance he has had the experience of a world tour with professionals, and it is expected that his humour will be a triumph. A curse is said to fall on all who have interfered with the tomb of Tutankhamen. The curse is something to be dreaded when thrown by Miss Ethel Rae, who plays the part of f “Tji.” Seldom has an. amateur risen , to such dramatic heights as she does in her curse of the Pharaoh in this magnificent production. Miss Rae’s work is always convincing. “Tutankhamen” will be presented in His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday, September 25. Priority booking for members opens tomorrow morning.
