MANY FIRE CALLS

SEVERAL BRIGADES BUST NO SERIOUS DAMAGE I Slight damage was caused by fire ifl ; three instances in which the Remuera brigade answered the call on Saturday. The prompt arrival of the firemen prevented any serious outbreaks. Clothing which had been left near the kitchen range caught alight after 11 a.m. in a house at 34 Armadale Road, Remuera, owned by' Dr. J. Holdsworth, and occupied by Mrs. E. J". Adams.
