MR. G. W. MASSINGHAM CHOSEN ORGANISING SECRETARY EXTENSION OF ACTIVITIES From Our Own Correspondent CHRISTCHURCH, Today. The executive of the New Zealand Associated Chambers of Commerce has appointed Mr. Graham William Massingham organising secretary. Mr. Massingliam was chosen from numerous applicants. The appointment was made following the executive’s decision to extend its activities and to establish closer co-operation between its members. Mr. Massingliam. who was born at Epsom. England, is the only son of Air. George A. Massingham, general manager of Barclay’s Bank. He was in business in Canada for some time, and was in Scotland -when the war broke out in 1914. He served in France from 1914 to 1918, and then was sent to Russia, and later to India. Mesopotamia and Persia. He retired from the Army in 1923, with the rank of major. On his arrival in New’ Zealand in 1924 he joined the Colonial Motor Company. He will take over his new post on October 1.
