FILM PROGRAMME FOR THE EMPIRE UN CONCERNS INVOLVED A strong effort is being made in Britain at the present time to combat the American film invaaion—not only of pictures, but of production and exhibition controlling interests. A large company with a capital of 21,500,000 is being formed with the Meet of acquiring the interests of no Wer than 10 producing and exhibiting concerns. if the plans of the promoters are acceaaful the resultant amalgamation ’ill enable the launching of an programme.
