Jjf ORSES whici have been twice I _ successful in the New Zealand Cup are Wildwood Junior (19091 ?1* Reta p eter (1920-21), Ahuriri (1925-26) and Peter Bingen (192829). Each one showed time improvement at the second success. Wildwood Junior from 4.39 to 4.33, Reta Peter from 4.30 2-5 to 4.29 1-5. In her second year the trotting mare was beaten by Sherwood, but a protest against the winner for crossinn was upheld, and the placing?. reversed. Ahuriri improved from 4.28 1-5 to 4.25 and at his first success Peter Bingen went year he lowered this to 4.18 4-5, and established a world’s race record.
