CRYSTAL PALACE, MT. EDEN
“The Vagabond Lover.” the first of the two new talkies at the Crystal Palace Theatre. Mount Eden Road, is a bright and melodious tale of New York night life. introducing Rudy Valee, the American musical comedy idol. The second feature is “Dance Hall,” a dazzling drama of jazz-mad youth, starring Olive Borden and Arthur Lake Pauline Frederick, star of “Evidence,” her latest production, has a mascot in the form of a little china monkey which always occupies a prominent place on her dressing table. This little ornament was given to her in Los Angeles many years ago on the opening night of “The Lady.” and has since accompanied her all over the world.
George Bancroft and William Powell. Paramount stars, have one thins in common. Both served their apprenticeship as villains.
