CLOSING STAGES PROVE EXCITING The closing stages of the KingsiandCity game at the Domain on Saturday, when the former scored a narrow victory by 14 points to 13. provided an abundance of thrills for the large crowd of Deague fans present. It was not a first-class exhibition of the code, but the particular run of scoring created unusual excitement and tension. City was a slightly weakened side and%lacked much of its usual combination, while Kingsland played a loose, hard game which proved most trying on the City defensive. In the opening stages Kingsland had slightly the better of the play, but City exhibited a few flashy displays which earned it two converted tries. After this Kingsland came to li£nwith three unconverted tries, but tin* was not sufficient to give it the lead d> half time. Lucus managed to aive over for Herring to convert, while for City Reynolds went over, but the kick missed.
