WESTFIELD STOCK SALE WESTFIEI.D, 2.30 p.in. An aggregate yarding of approximately 536 head of fat cattle came forward to Westfield today to meet w’th a very firm demand. Best young ox made up to 40s a hundred, average prime ox 36s to 38s a hundred. Best young cow male to 37s a hundred. The offering of ox beef was drawn from over a comparatively wide range, but, although a few particularly choice prime lines were yarded, the average quality was not up to that of last week. One line of particularly prime ox beef came from as far south as Feilding to make up to £l7. A line locally fattened steers on account .T. R. Seif, Papatoetoe, made the highest price of the season, two particularly heavy prime steers going to R. E. Stott, Birkenhead, for £lB 12s 6d.
