Worra 1. of Taumarunui. an honorary ranger of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society, supplies some interesting facts regarding irout conditions in the Tongariro waters. He explains that the big '•rurs" been late this year, but the fish ar m far better condition than they we.e at this time last year. In the Waiotak.i Stream the trout are perfect, rangir.g from 91b to 111 b. All the streams are packed with fish, and the prospects for the coming season are in favour of excellent snort.
