TAURANGA CANDIDATE CHOSEN Special to THE ,'iFJT TAURANGA, Wednesday. A well-attended meeting of delegates of the New Zealand Country Political League for the Tatiranga electorate was held at Tauranga this afternoon. The following officers were elected: —President, Mr. H. J. Gill; vice-president, Mr. F. N. Christian; -secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. E. S. Gane. An executive committee of 12 was also a;) ointed. The league decided to contest the Tauranga Parliamentary seat. Mr. F. Colbeck, of Morrinsville. was unanimously chosen as the candidate. He contested the seat at the last general election. A motion was carried tendering thanks to Mr. H. M. Rushworth, M.P., for his splendid Parliamentary work, and assuring him of the wholehearted confidence of the convention as leader of the party.
