PRINCE ALBERT REUNION
OLD BOYS FOREGATHER WELL ATTENDED MEETING Although, the Prince Albert College ceasi d to function in 1906, its influence in Auckland has been, and still is great. This was proved by the large number of old boys who attended the fourth annual dinner of the Old Boys’ Association. Those present incuded doctors, lawyers, accountants, business men. clergymen, and members of local bodies. Mr. J. H. Reyburn presided in the absence of the president, Mr. J. B. Johnston. Representatives from other college old boys’ associations in Auckland were present. Apologies were received from Mr. P. Drummond and, Mr. A. W. Short, former masters, who were unable to attend. Special greetings were sent by Professor Hi'gendorf. director of Lincoln College, who started his scholastic career in New Zealand at the Prince Albert College, and by previous headmasters, including the Rev. Thomas Jackson, at present in England, and Mr. Stuart Jackson, now headmaster of the Brisbane Grammar School.
Tho toast of “The School,” and of “Absent Friends” were proposed bv Mr. F. W. Thorne and Mr. J. E. Close, respectively. Tho following officers were elected for the coming-year:—President, Mr. J. H. Reyburn; vice-presidents, Dr. E. B. Gunson and Mr. M: H. Hampson; lion, secretary, Mr. R. G. Bntrican; committee, Messrs. B. L. Bagnall, B. ID. Buddie S. Burton, J. E. Close, N. G. Gribble, J. B. Johnston, A. G. Little, A. E. Lawry N. Purdy. L. E. Rhodes, F. W. Thorne! H. B. V. Townshend, and Dr. J Y Warren.
