“PARAMOUNT ON PARADE” Tonight the Civic Theatre will present a talking film proclaimed as Hollywood's jolliest fun frolic. This is "Paramount on Parade,” in which there has been achieved the charm of a party at which the audience meets all the stars and featured plavers of the Paramount organisation. One of the chief is Maurice Chevalier, who won all-time approval and friendship during the filming of one of his numbers in this Paramount gigantic musical festival of the stars, "Paramount on Parade.” For two days, Maurice was "in the line,” which, in stage parlance, means he was in the chorus. Chevalier stepped into his new role Ln “Rainbow Revels,” one of the spectacular song numbers in "Paramount on Parade,” in which he is joined by eighty of the most beautiful show girls that could be found in the film world. George Bancroft. Clara Bow. Evelyn Brent, Clive Brook. Nancy Carroll. Ruth Chatterton, Maurice Chevalier. Gary Cooper. Leon Errol, Skeets Gallagher. Harry Green, Helen Kane, Dennis King, Abe Lyman and liis Band, Jack Oakie. Zelma O’Neal, William Powell and Charles (Buddy) Rogers. The Civic Theatre will also present a full supporting programme with the usual shorts, orchestral items and organ music.
