THE LATE MR. DARGAVILLE
TRIBUTE BY DARGAVILLE CLUB ANNUAL MEETING POSTPONED A special meeting of the stewards of the Dargaville Racing Club last evening, after paying tribute to the late president, Mr. F. J. Dargaville, unanimously resolved to postpone the annual general meeting of members until August 14. Owing to the position that has arisen through the death of the president, it was decided to call further nominations for the position of president, three vice-presidents, and four stewards, these closing on July 31. When nominations closed last week for office-bearers, the following names were received: President, F. J. Dargaville and R. W. Cuthbert; vicepresidents, YV. Whitmore, B. Coleman, A. J. Finch, and F. W’atters: stewards, F. J. Dargaville, Dr. M. Greville, A. W. Christie, C. S. Rush, W'. S. Lee, W. B. Morris, F. Izzard, and W. Peterson.
