EVANGELISTIC MISSION
THE LESSON OF PILATE The Rev. Raymond Preston's mission at the Pitt Street Methodist Church attracted another large congregation last evening. The Rev. Walker, in' welcoming strangers, said that the mission was achieving its object, which was to help those w\jo were seeking aJiter the truth. Mr. Preston spoke from the text. “What I have written. I have written.” He said that Pilate obviously did not believe Christ should die. but sentenced him through fear of losing his position, and lie could not later undo that wrong. In view' of Pilate’s appalling blunder, we should be careful of judging others, he said, and young people must learn to value reputation more than popularity. The reason why men nnd women went to the devil ’was that they did not stop to think.
