MANUKAU AMATEUR CLUB FOUBISTER’S CONSISTENCY The race conducted on Saturday by the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club resulted in a triumph for the junior. H. Gordon. R. Foubister was again successful in gaining fastest time honours. The detailed result was: H. V. Gordon (4min. 20sec.) .. 1 C. Hansen (smin. losec.) .... 2 JD. Foster <7min 30sec.» 3 Seventeen started. The winner returned 43min. 54sec. for the distance, while Foubister’s fastest time was 40min. lOsec.. which he gained from the scratch mark.
AUCKLAND CLUB
W. MATHIESON WINS CUP The trophy presented l»y Mr. G. I Knight, the Lloyd Cup. was the prize contested for by the professional body last Saturday. The winner turned up in W Mathieson. one of the oldest members of the Auckland Club. The fastest time was returned by Slater Hayes. The place-getters were: W. Mathieson <2min. 25sec.) .. 1 F. Taylor <3min. 20seo ) .. .. 2 J. McDonald (3min. 20sec.) .. 3 Hayes’s time was 51 min. 4Ssec.
