THE AUCKLAND TRANSPORT BOARD having obtained the necessary statutory consent of the Local Government Loans Board HEREBY GIVES NOTICE in pursuance of Section 10 of the “Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926”: (1) THAT the Auckland Transport Board proposes to engage in the following undertaking, viz.:— The extensions of the Auckland Electric Tramways from Mount Albert to Avondale and purchase of land and other works incidental thereto. THAT the Auckland Transport Board being unable to provide the funds for such work out of its ordinary revenue, proposes to raise a Special Loan not exceeding £58,400, and to be known a 3 “the Mt. AlbertAvondale Extension Loan, 1620.” to) THAT the said Loan will be repairable at the end of Tv/enty (20> years from the date or respective dates of raising the same, with provision for a Sinking Fund of not less than Three Pounds (£2) per centum per annum. (4) THAT the proposed security for the said Loan shall be a Special Rate of l-49tli of Id in the £ on the capital value of all Rateable Property in the Board’s District. (5) THAT the Auckland Transport Board proposes to pay out of such Loan such costs, cuarges and expenses as the Auckland Transport Board may determine to have been actually incurred in connection with such Loan, but no portion of the Interest or Sinking Fund. (b) To enable the City Council to expend further moneys on Workers’ Dwellings already erected by it in the City of Auckland. (c) To make provision to enable the method of voting by a cross to be used at local elections in Auckland. XTOTICE is hereby given, that it is the intention of this Council to promote during the present Session of Parliament a Rotorua Borough Vesting and Empowering Bill. The proposed Bill provides:— ]. The areas particularly described in the Schedule hereto, being portions of the bed of Rotorua, • are, save as provided in section four hereof hereby vested in the Corporation of the Borough of Rotorua for an estate in fee simple and are hereby declared to be included in and to form part of that Borough a. 3 from the passing of this Act. 2. The Rotorua Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council ) may subject to the provisions of Section 171 of the Harbours Act, 1923, reclaim from the waters of Lake Rotorua the whole or any part or parts of the area described in the Schedule hereto. 3. Upon completion of the reclamation of the whole or any part of the area described in the Schedule hereto the District Land Registrar for the Auckland Land Registration District, on application in that behalf made by the Council and on completion of such surveys (If any) as may be necessary, shall issue to the Council a title or/titles in respect of the lands so reclaimed other than a strip thereof one chain in width along the whole frontage of such reclaimed lands to Lake Rotorua. The said strip shall on completion of the work of reclamation be deemed to be a public reserve vested in the Corporation for recreation purposes. 4. The boundaries of the Borough Ol Rotorua as altered by this Act shall be forthwith defined by notice in the Gazette under the hand of the Minister of Internal Affairs. All those portions of Lake Rotorua containing by admeasurement a tota combined area of ELEVEN ACRES ONE ROOD, situated along the Lake frontage of the Borough of Rotorua, In Block 1, Tarawera Survey District, as the same are delineated and edged preen on the plan numbered 6321, deposited in the office of the Marine Department, Wellington, and the boundaries of which are as follow: (a) Commencing on the shore of. Lake Rotorua at the north-eastern cornei of Tahercrauti No. 2 Block, Ohir.cmutu Pa, thence north-easterly ir continuation of the south-easter!: boundary of the said block a distance of one hundred and thirteer decimal point four four links, bearing forty-six degrees one minute forty seconds thence south-easterly in a straight line toward the northeastern corner of the Marine Parade, a distance of eleven hundred and twenty links bearing one hundred and twenty degrees sixteen minutes to the western side of the Wharf Approach: thenc< generally south-westerly along th« said western side of the Whan Approach to the Lake shore; thence generally north-westerly along the Lake shore to the commencing point, containing an area of foui (b) Commencing on the Lake Shore at the north-eastern corner of the Marine Parade, thence generally south-westerly and westerly along the Lake Shore to the eastern side of a road; thence north-easterly along the eastern side of the saic road and of the Wharf Approach t< a point in continuation of th< north-eastern boundary of the por tion (a) hereinbefore described thence south-easterly a distance o fifteen hundred and thirty-six link; bearing one hundred and twent: degrees sixteen minutes commencing point, containing ai area of seven acres one rood.
