SHINS UP LADDER THROWN BY OUTSIDE HELPER COMPANION CAUGHT LONDON, Tuesday. | A daring and well-planned escape I from Wandsworth gaol is reported. | While the prisoners were exercising, [ two of them ran toward the wall, over | which a rope ladder was suddenly j thrown from outside the prison, i One prisoner escaped, but the other j was caught and pulled from the lad ! der. i A motor-car outside the walls was ! driven away with the escaped man. Both prisoners were members of a motor bandit gang, and had been sen i tenced to long terms. It is obvious that there is a system ; of communicating with friends outside, and 7m inquiry has been ordered.
