LIKE OUR OWN MISSION STEAMER SOUTHERN CROSS, the London Mission Society’s steamer John William IV. has been travelling around the islands for a number of years. Manned by a crew of Gilbert Islanders, she has covered over a million and a-quarter miles in her journeyings and is shortly to be replaced by the John William V.
