BRIDE-ELECT IS GUEST AT TE PUKE PARTY
LYECUM CLUB ENTERTAINS Recently, at the home of Mrs. Simpson, the members of the Te Puke Lyceum Club entertained Mrs. Martyn at an afternoon. The hall and sitting-room were prettily decorated with bowls of tulips and green foliage. The guests were entertained with musical items and competitions. Mrs. Gibbings gave a delightful monologue, and songs were given by Mrs. Booker, Mrs. Powell, Mrs. Duff, and Miss Bush. A competition was won by Mrs. MacDougall. Mrs. Martyn wore an ensemble of black, relieved with daffodil yellow, and a hat to tone, Among those present were: Mrs. Lemon, Mrs. Wilkie, Mrs. Booker, Mrs. Powell, Mrs. Duff, Mrs. MacDougall, Mrs. Simpson, Mrs. D. Wickham. Mrs. B. Wickham, Mrs. Twigg, Mrs. Ball, Mrs. Tait, Mrs. Cawte, Mrs. Young, Mrs. Hickson, Mrs. Gibbings, Mrs. Mark, Mrs. Burrows, Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Bailey. Mrs. Mends, Mrs. Mahoney, Mrs. Hargreaves, Mrs. Butcher, Mrs. Yercoe, ilrs. Fagan, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Wilsone, Mrs. Palmer, Mrs. Davies, Mrs. Diprose, Mrs.. Bostock, Mrs. Reynolds, Miss Flynn, Miss Rogers, Miss Bush.
