PACKING WOOL
Mr. J. C. Graham, of Poverty Bay. who has lately returned from a visit to Australia, has drawn attention to a simple device which obviates the necessity of sewing bales of wool. He : stated that the practice in general ; use there was to clip the bales to- | gether with small metal devices. They j resemble two large but thin fencing staples joined together by one of tbo prongs of each staple. By using these j clips, men could deal with from thirty j to thirty-three bales an hour, against ; from only twelve to thirteen with the | old practice of sewing. He though* j that Xew Zealand wool-growers would benefit by the adoption of this practice.
