STRIKE IN JAPAN.—As a protest Against the discharge of three employees of the Kyoto municipal motor«nis service, there was a general strike today, which disorganised the city transport services. NOTED SEAMAN DEAD.—T ho <l<?ath has occurred at Melbourne of Captain P. W. Bull, formerly general manager of the Huddart-Parker Company, aged 73. Captain Bull was some years ago a master in the Huddart-Parker Company’s service, and commanded the Westralia for some years. He retired lr om the general managership three years ago. at the time of the company's jubilee
