Sir Francis Boys arrived in Auckland by the express today. jtfr. Edward Anderson lel't for Wellington last evening. W. 11. Gummer left by train for Wellington last evening. Sir George Elliot, chairman of the Bank of New Zealand, returned to Auckland on Saturday from Wellington. Mr. T. O. Bishop, of Wellington, secretary of the New Zealand Employers’ Federation, is staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. J. W. Woodcock, agricultural inspector at Hamilton, has been transferred to Palmerston North. He is to be succeeded by Mr. J. F. Shepherd. Mr. H. T. King and Mr. E. Smith, who are to attend a meeting of die Pharmacy Board of New Zealand at Wellington, left for there by train last evening . Mr. J. IT. C. Bond, Dominion superintendent of the New Zealand Shipping Company, arrived at Auckland this morning from Wellington, and is staying at the Northern Club. Mr. W. J. Power, assistant business agent of the Railway Department at Auckland, has been appointed to the relieving staff of the traffic branch and has been transferred temporarily to Dargaville. Mr. George Bruce-Smith. general manager for Australia and New Zealand of the Australian Provincial Assurance Association, Ltd., arid Mr. George Peacock, manager for New' Zealand. are at present touring the Dominion.
