AUCKLAND WEDDING

BRIDE WEARS PRETTY FROCK OF ROSE-BEIGE GEORGETTE AND LACE SCOTT—GILL On Wednesday evening, at the Pitt Street Methodist Church, the marriage was celebrated of Linda, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A Gill, of Silver Creek, Rotorua, and Walter Hunter Scott, fourth son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Scott, Te Aroha. The Rev, Mr. Carr officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her grandfather, Mr. Jones, wore a becoming frock of rose beige georgette, having a flared skirt with slightly uneven hemline and lace insets, which made a pretty trimming above each flare. Rainbow strips of georgette in pastel shades were inset from the shoulder to the waistline, and a spray of orange blossom was worn on the shoulder. A beige feit hat, with edging of tulle, turned back slightly off the face, and trimmed with ribbon to tone, was worn. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and maidenhair fern relieved with touches of blue. Miss Frances Kell attended as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of sea green georgette embroidered in rainbow shades. With this was worn a beige felt hat turned back off the face and trimmed with green and beige ribbon. She carried a bouquet of pin); and lemon blooms.

After the ceremony a large number of guests were entertained at the Penrith Tea Rooms, the tables being effectively decorated with Iceland poppies and pink and blue sweet peas, while a glistening pink and silver wedding bell was suspended over the bridal table. Mrs. Gill received her guests wearing a frock of amethyst georgette trimmed with amethyst and gold embroidery, and carrying a bouquet of irises and violets. Mrs. Jones, grandmother of the bride, wore black crepe de chine, and carried a Victorian posy of mauve flowers. Mrs. Faville (Hamilton), wore beige crepe de chine; Mrs. Smith (Hamilton), embossed navy georgette.
