NEW PICTURES TOMORROW The sensational talking film of life in 1040, “High Treason,” will be shown at the London Theatre for the last time this evening, together with its aceompanyi ng programme. From tomorrow an entire change of programme will be presented. In ’’The American Prisoner.” the British International all-dialogue production, adapted from Eden Philpotts’s famous novel, Carl Brisson. the wellknown stage and screen star, is given the colourful role of the young American officer, who is held ns a prisoner of war in Dartmoor gaol. One of tho highlights of the star’s new part is the duel in which he defeats Peter Norcot, played by Cecil Barry. So enthusiastic were the two players, both excellent fencers, that they forgot that they were playing a part, and one of them received a nasty fiesli wound in the side. This-picture, which is to be released by Cinema Art Films at the London Theatre as their second British attraction, also features Madeleine Carroll. Bromley Davenport. Nancy Price, and several others equally well known.
