TAXI STRIKES CENTRE-POLE
Extensive damage was caused to the right-hand side of a taxi-cab in Symonds Street yesterday morning, when it skidded and struck a tramway centre-pole. The taxi was proceeding toward the City, and was passing another motor-car just above Grafton Bridge when the mishap occurred. The driver was not injured.
