CATTLE FROM CANADA
PEDIGREE STOCK ARRIVES Ten pedigree bulls and five cows arrived in New Zealand on Saturday afternoon from Halifax, Nova Scotia, on board the Canadian National steamer, Canadian Instructor. Five of the bulls are Ayrshires and five Jerseys, the cows also being Jerseys. The animals were selected in Canada by Messrs. F. Mills and A. 11. Weir, of the New Zealand Ayrshire Breeders’ Association, for improving the dairy stocks of the Dominion. The Jersey cattle, which are for Auckland, will be landed today and taken into quarantine. The Ayrshire bulls will be taken on to Wellington. All are in good condition after the voyage.
