BIRKENHEAD PRESBYTERIANS
NEW MINISTER INDUCTED
The induction of the Rev. F. J. Wainwright, of Morningside, as minister of the Presbyterian Church at Birkenhead took place last evening in the presence of a large congregation. The Rev. W. Gilmour, moderator, presided. The Rev. T. M. Cuttle, of the Somervell Memorial Church, Remuera, was the preacher; the Rev. F. A. Thompson, of Northeote, moderator of the Auckland Presbytery, addressed the new minister; and the Rev. S. J. Atkins, of Belmont, addressed the congregation. On behalf of the officers and congregation, Mr. A. Campbell extended a welcome to Mr. Wainwright. He expressed appreciation of the faithful services of Mr. A. McCracken over a long period. Mr. Wainwright will preach at both services in the Birkenhead Church tomorrow, and at Glenfleld in the afternoon. A welcome social will be held on Thursday evening.
