ATLANTIC CHALLENGER
BRITAIN BUILDING NEW LINER AT £6,000,000 FAST SERVICE TO AMERICA LONDON, Thursday. The famous Clydebank firm of shipbuilders, John Brown and Co., Ltd., has secured an order for the construction of a new Cunard liner, at: a cost of £6,000,000. The vessel is for an express service from Channel ports to New York. Her construction will provide employment for thousands of men for at least three years. The engines of the new liner are to be of 600,0000-li.p. She will carry 4,000 passengers, and a crew of SOO men.
