NOT IMPROVED
SIR JOSEPH WARD HAS RESTLESS NIGHT CONDITION WEAKER From Our Special Correspondent ROTORUA, Today. The condition of Sir Joseph Ward has not improved; in fact he is a little weaker. The veteran statesman passed a restless night. “Sir Joseph Ward had a better day yesterday, but a bad night,” said Mr. Vincent Ward this morning. Mr. Ward said his father’s condition was still very serious; in fact, almost critical. His medical adviser was worried, and nothing definite could possibly be known for at least two or three days. Sir-Josepli, it was stated, had been quiet but conscious throughout yesterday, and had recognised members of the family. Mrs. B. B. Wood, his daughter, and Messrs. Cyril Ward, Vincent Ward, Gladstone Ward and Pat Ward are with their father. At 3 o’clock this afternoon the condition of Sir Joseph Ward was unchanged.
