SHEAF OF LILIES CARRIED BY BRIDE AT TAUMARUNUI
TAYLOR—ROBINSON Miss Myrtle Elizabeth Robinson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Robinson, of Taumarunui, chose a frock of white georgette ornamented with pearls and a deep hem of silver lace for her marriage to Mr. Colin Taylor, third son of Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor, of Palmerston North. The bride’s lovely ensemble included a beautiful veil with circlet of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of lilies. Two bridesmaids and two ch;c little flower girls were in attendance. The chidf maid, Miss Doris Morgan, a cousin of the bride from Palmerston North, wore a beige frock of lace and georgette, her head-dress being of autumn leaves with a georgette bow; the bouquet was of bronze chrysanthemums. The second maid, Miss May Theobald, -of Taumarunui, wore a frock of green lace with headband of green leaves, and carried chrysanthemums. The flower girls, Dorothy Robinson and Doreen Wakelin, respectively wore blue and lemon crepe de chine, and carried baskets of flowers. The ceremony was performed at the
Anglican Church by the Rev. J. W. Burley. Mr. G. Morgan, of Palmerston North, was best man, and Mr. J. Taylor acted as groomsman. The bride’s father gave her away. Afterward a reception took place at the Parish Hall, when the bride’s mother, attired in a brown tailored costume, with brown hat, received a large number of guests. Mrs. Taylor wore black brocaded silk with hat to match. Both carried autumn flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor left later for Auckland, the bride travelling in. a fawn tailored costume with hat to tone.
